Mission Statement & More Info
Philosophy
Children will develop and excel in a safe, positive, and healthy environment that prioritizes fun, fair competition, and teamwork
I am a strong believer in choice. People need as many facts as possible so that the choices they make are educated. Balanced excellence is the theme I wish to teach to all concerned. I believe that most people interested in being a youth coach can be educated to teach pre puberty children how to play and develop in their youth sport.
If something is really true, it should be applicable to all endeavors. We are reaching out to non sports but related activities and show how overuse can affect children throughout the world in any activity. Long term consequences must be explained clearly.
Goals
Change the youth and high school sports culture through my books, speaking, workshops, seminars and media presentations.
Our immediate goal is education, especially in the area of injury prevention. We would like to engage a sponsor who would donate equipment to select teams and organizations that support our paradigm of equal play prepuberty and play by performance post puberty.
Our long term goal is to build a field of dreams where children can come and play for free. We will have a tutor there so anyone who needs academic help will be able to get it. The place will be an opportunity to play pickup games in their chosen sport, or learn how to play another sport. FUN is the key here
